In this Box of Snaps - 1

A couple of weeks ago I blogged about my new iPhone 4, since then I've installed the amazing free app Instagram. It's an app that lets you take a picture with your iPhone, choose a filter to make it extra beautiful, and then share it with other users. You can even share it on your Twitter and Facebook accounts too!

I thought it'd be really nice to share my pictures with you guys, so here goes...

Let's get live!

Live music is an absolute must!

Bored of that same old same old night out you've been having since forever?

Well why not mix it up a bit and throw in some live action, if you love to shake it to the latest sounds then why not have the real thing right in front of you?

Or you could just have some middle aged sweaty pie eating DJ play it for you???
*Other DJs are available*

Over the past couple of months I've had the absolute pleasure of seeing alternative pop band Bastille and the amazingly talented Mr Marcus Foster play live.

I'm surprised I have a heart left, oh did I melt for these guys? (Apologies on a postcard to The Boy)

Both were amazing but totally different, Bastille had us moving our bodies to their killer beats and vocals, my favourite being 'Laura Palmer' (And not just because it's my name...promise), whereas Marcus had us mesmerized and holding our breath at the sheer beauty of 'I was broken'.

The support didn't disappoint on each night either Jessica's Ghost killed it on the warm up for Bastille, man that woman can sing and check out the guy with the fiddle! And Emily and The Woods front girl Emily began a little heart melting of her own before Marcus took over, she was awesome!

And the two for one cocktails all night (on both nights!) didn't disappoint either.

Have you seen anyone awesome live lately?

Writing Bug

Hey everyone,

I'm extremely pleased to say that I have a bad case of the writing bug!

No more staring at the screen/twiddling the pen in my hand.

I'm working on a short story at the moment, and I'm so happy to say that for the first time in a long time I'm actually really really excited about writing, which is great although I'm not sure my body clock would agree with me.

I seem to get all my inspiration at three o'clock in the morning! When my body would much rather be asleep my mind is busy racing around trying to figure out how 'That Kiss' can happen.

Well here's to coffee is all I can say!

Wish me luck with the story :)

Feel free to drop me a line about anything you're working on at the moment. When do you get those bursts of writing energy?

Christmas come early

I'm trying to hold off the Christmas spirit until at least the 1st of December, all these shops playing christmas songs decked out in tinsel it's just too soon for my liking.

My one exception to a premature celebration of the festive period is when it involves early Christmas presents... Of course...

My friends this latest post comes not from my humble laptop but from my brand new super slinky super shiny super sexy glistening white iPhone 4.

I never thought I'd be an iPhone convert but it hasn't even been a whole 24hrs yet and I'm totally in love.

Thank you Mr Santa Claus xxxxx

In just nine days I'll be rocking around my Christmas tree, well not my Christmas tree because that doesn't go up until the twelfth (which is a rule so stop disobeying!) but rest assured I will be rocking around my house, no doubt to the smooth sounds of the new Michael Buble Christmas album.

Tut tut Laura... This post has involved far too much talk of Christmas!

Happy belated Bonfire Night to you all!
