Day 12- How you found out about Blogger and why you made one

The person who opened my eyes to the wonderful world of blogging was none other than Mr Chris Killen.

In 2009 Chris came to Edge Hill University to perform at a fiction reading. He read from his first novel 'The Bird Room', a book that I found to be tragically hilarious, extremely current, and certainly a must for any reader.

The next day he came into our Creative Writing Fiction class to give us a talk on his work. It was then that he told us about 'Blogs' and how it was very important for us as writers to create one.

And so I did.

Chris inspired me and many others in our class to create blogs and since then I myself have inspired others to do so too.

Blogging is a rewarding hobby and I've been doing it now for two years, it never gets old because there's always something new to write about, or if you're suffering from a bit of writers block there's nothing better than to read other peoples blogs for a spot of inspiration.

Thank you Chris.

  1. hey, thanks very much. really glad i was able to help in some way. (also, seems nuts that it was two years since my Edge Hill visit. wow.) anyway, good luck with your blog and writing things in the future, and thanks again for the mention. all the best. Chris
